What do we do?
College Cooperative Southeast (CCS) Coordinators
give you individual assistance to create postsecondary
opportunities in Southeast Indiana. You can choose from
over 130 degree programs and over 2,000 distance education
courses each semester that can lead to an Associate’s,
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor’s degree. Also available
are postsecondary classes designed to improve job skills,
meet professional certification requirements, or to explore
personal interests.
Why are we needed?
Bureau of Census figures show that in Indiana, 21%
of Hoosiers 25 years and older have earned a college degree.
Nationally, census figures show 28% of that same age range have
earned at least a bachelor’s degree. Indiana ranks 46th in the
nation for percentage of residents with bachelor or graduate
degrees for residents 25 years and older. 63% of Hoosiers who
graduate from high school attend postsecondary institutions,
which ranks Indiana 10th in the country.
Southeastern Indiana communities rely on CCS Learning
Centers to provide postsecondary information to assist
individuals in completing an associates, graduate or
postgraduate degree. Southeast Indiana communities strongly support
the learning centers throughout the the 10 southeastern Indiana
counties served by CCS making each learning center an integral part of each community.
